Note: From 1 April 2013 the SLCSN work programme will transition to the London Strategic Clinical Networks (SCN) hosted by NHS England, formerly the NHS Commissioning Board.

The SLCSN Prescribing Forum, established in 2006, provides a setting ideal for clinicians to identify consistent, cost effective prescribing for the benefit of cardiac and stroke patients in both primary and secondary care in South London.

To ensure that the agreed-upon guidance remains current, guidance documents are reviewed every two years for clinical efficiency and alternative treatments.

In addition the network has an industry working group.
